A New Lens…

Posted by MWPA on April 14, 2009

003So I have been saving and saving and saving my pennies so that I could buy a new camera lens. The lens I chose was the 17-40L, it is a wider lens, so I can fit more in my photograph with out backing all the way up.  My first day of testing it came up showed this lens is of very nice quality and between me my camera and the lens we produced some awesome photographs that were vibrant and sharp. (click the photo to see the album with more photos from this day out!)

Rachel Clare Photography the website is also growing so be sure to check it out:

On the Road Again

Posted by MWPA on April 3, 2008

On the road again, Just can’t wait to get on the road again, The life I love is makin’ music with my friends, And I can’t wait to get on the road again, Willie Nelson must have known exactly how I feel when he wrote that song. After not driving for over a year, I cant wait to have my freedom back. I have now been driving over here on the ‘wrong side of the road’ for nearly 2 weeks, its still an interesting experience, I am getting better at working out how big the car is in comparison to the road, and my breaking is less jerky than it was, I have never had a car with such good breaks, so its taking a while to find the right amount of pressure to slow me down at the correct speed, that goes for accelerating too, The Trailblazer SS picks up speed really quickly, and I haven’t quite got it figured out so I don’t accelerate to fast or to slow…especially last night when I pulled out of our road like a kangaroo bouncing the car around. I did drive to Newport News which is the furthest I have driven, it was a bit scary trying to park, our car is seriously massive!! When we arrived home I took the BMW round our complex, wow how nice it was to drive that car, no power steering, its manual and the seats dont move very much, the clutch is really high to bite, but I felt so much more happier driving it because thats what I was used to in England. Will says there is no way Im having the BMW because he wants me in the safe SUV.
